The Code Notebook
Legal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains what information The Code Notebook ("we") collects when you use this website and how it is used.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and an encrypted password (handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see your password).
  • Learning data: which lessons you mark as complete and which courses you join early access for.
  • Usage data: anonymous visit statistics (for example, pages viewed) to improve the site.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account and show your dashboard.
  • To email you about your account (verification, password reset) and, if you joined early access, about course launches.
  • To improve lessons and the website.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers to run the site: Google Firebase (accounts and database), Cloudflare (hosting), and, once courses launch, a payment provider (payments are handled by them; we never store card details). Embedded YouTube videos are served by YouTube under Google's privacy policy.

Your choices

You can update your details from your dashboard or ask us to delete your account and data at any time through the contact page.

Children

This website is intended for learners aged 13 and above.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.

This is a starter template, not legal advice. Please review it (ideally with a professional) before launching paid courses.
